Llanbradach Library Cabinet

Go to Llanbradach Library, open Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons, to see the glass cabinet. This contains books about the great man so that his life can be studied as near as possible to the Graddfa, where he was born.

The plaque at the front of Hen Dŷ Cwrdd

The plaque was unveiled on 4 April 2006 at Hen Dŷ Cwrdd to remind us of our celebrations. The Council then erected it on the front of the building, as they were anxious that it should be seen from the road. The plaque is of a design that will be common in all places of historical interest in the County Borough.

The Society is extremely grateful to the Caerffili County Borough’s Heritage Service especially Miss Helen Wilson for work with the plaque and supporting the Society’s efforts generally. Also the Library Service, particularly Mrs Elizabeth Roberts for sponsoring lectures and providing the cabinet.
